Craftsmanship
SAUVEREIGN (est. 2020) is an artist-founded maison born in Hong Kong creating precious transformable art objects for wear. The house’s creative philosophy is defined by its exhaustive material investigation, its collaboration with master craftsmen from different corners of the world, as well as its commitment in generating value beyond what meets the eye. SAUVEREIGN’s multidisciplinary practice spans across leather goods, jewellery, footwear and fine art, utilising a wide range of traditional and unexpected mediums.
Bertrand Mak, in Pursuit of the Eternal Founder & Creator of SAUVEREIGN
Founder and chief creator, Bertrand Mak moves between sculpture, mixed media, sculpture, and wearable art, united by his signature use of 24-carat gold leaf.
Since 2012, he has reimagined leafing and lacquering into proprietary techniques that transform the noble metal into a living language. From early encounters with arts and culture, his search for purpose evolved into an exploration of preciousness and permanence - an inquiry into identity, intimacy, and meaning.
Perpetually extending the use of gold in his creative practice, Mak constantly attempts to prove and exhaust the immortality of this seemingly everlasting medium.

SAUVEREIGN unveils HS14, its inaugural hybrid fine jewellery collection - a milestone in the maison's pursuit of precious, customisable art objects for wear.
Created in collaboration with grandmaster Kari Voutilainen, HS14 fuses high watchmaking with fine jewellery through a customisable pendant, ring, bracelet, and earrings. Crafted with noble metals and refined horological techniques, HS14 defines a new category of jewellery where purity, individuality, and emotional storytelling become symbols of personal triumph.
